Melisa Fernandez Csecs was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1981 and raised in her family’s home in the suburbs. She made her first steps in illustration while being just a kid. As soon as she knew how to take a pencil, she started drawing. She had barely learnt her first words when she invented her own stories; she even folded papers in half as if they were books. Grandpa Hugo and grandma Zelanira were her great inspiration, even though she didn’t get to meet her in person. Following her ancestors footsteps, she got professional training at the best argentinians illustrators and writers ateliers, while she studied Visual Arts at the National University of Arts (UNA) where she graduated with honours. Nowadays she works as a graphic desginer, photographer and illustrator.
